The College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) currently recognizes 24 different RPN programs in Ontario. Training through these institutions can usually be completed in four semesters of study, and graduates become immediately eligible to challenge for licensure as a Registered Practical Nurse (referred to as a Licensed Practical Nurse, or LPN, elsewhere in Canada) in the province.
