LPN Programs in Nova ScotiaIn order for graduates of LPN programs in Nova Scotia to become immediately eligible to sit for the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination (CPNRE), the institution they attend must be accredited by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Nova Scotia.

At this time, Nova Scotia Community College offers the only such program in the province. Classes start each January and September, and are available at seven different campuses.

  • Be a high school graduate or hold a GED
  • Have completed Grade 12 English, Math and two additional Science courses

  • Pass a criminal record check
